France will be without Ousmane Dembele and Bradley Barcola for their Nations League third-place play-off against Germany on Sunday.

Both players joined up with France after helping Paris Saint-Germain clinch their maiden Champions League success.

Dembele started the 5-4 semi-final defeat to Spain on Thursday, but was taken off in the 76th minute, minutes after hitting the post.

Medical checks after the match revealed the winger has suffered a muscle injury, which will rule him out of Sunday's game. He has been released back to PSG.

As has Barcola, who suffered a knee problem after coming on in the 64th minute.

It means both players' participation in the Club World Cup is now in doubt, with PSG's first group game against Atletico Madrid taking place on June 15.

Dembele enjoyed an inspired season, registering a team-high 46 goal involvements for PSG in all competitions (33 goals, 13 assists), teeing up two goals in the Champions League final. Barcola sat second on that list, with 39, scoring 21 goals and assisting 18.
